The New Album
After living in Portland, Oregon for almost two years, Struwin is ready to hit the studio again. Backed by a new band ( Daniel Fretto / lead guitar, Rick Bouvette / bass-vocals, Demetrius Keller / drums ) and some of Portland's finest session players, Mike's 6th CD is sure to make waves.
"I'm really excited for this next recording project. I've had so many songs brewing in my head since the last record in 2004. Some of these tunes I've had for years and others I just wrote a few days ago. We're even redoing a couple songs from "Roots Down" Struwin says. " This next one has a little bit of everything."
Soul / R&B / Roots / Rock / Reggae / Folk / Indie / Alt-Country this album has it all.
Living among enormous moss-covered trees, surrounded by mountains and immersed in the many diversities that the Rose City has to offer has given Mike a fresh outlook on things. " These last few years have really made a big impact on my writing style. I think you'll hear some different influences coming through me on this album...it crosses multiple genres."
